2015 Lance 1172 Truck Camper

Only the best manufacturing techniques are utilized by Lance, in both their Truck Camper and Travel Trailers lines. One such technique that isn’t used by any other RV mfg is using a CNC Router to cut to a near zero tolerance level. This translates into no gapping, no “gimp” and no distressed edging.

Every Lance Camper & Travel Trailer have their extruded polystyrene insulation cut with a CNC router and matched to a Lewing Board. This isn’t done at other manufacturers. Lance also utilizes a wood from a renewable European source (in Spain) for their LitePly wood cabinets, etc. LitePly is commonly used in corporate jets.

The other Lance advantage besides the CNC router and superior materials, is the use of Azdel. Azdel is a composite material that is used, in lieu of the standard Luaun (Luan) wall boards. What Azdel does is to not allow water, mold, mildew form inside the walls of the pinch rolled (with thicker German Lamilux fiberglass) Luaun will eventually absorb water and rot, mold, mildew. NOT with Azdel. Plus Azdel is 50% stronger than Luaun and also has a R-7 value in insulation. Composites are here to stay. It’s the 21st century and Lance refuses to use wood and house insulation for their Trailers and Truck Campers, a “technology” that was popular in the 1970′s and 1980′s, and still – today! Amazing that people will settle for less!

Lance isn’t “glued and screwed” as other Travel Trailer/Truck Campers Manufacturers use.
