Chinese automaker Great Wall’s luxury brand WEY unveiled its plug-in hybrid SUV, one of the company’s most powerful plug-in hybrids at the Beijing Auto Show on Thursday.

WEY P8 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and electric motor on both front and rear axles. It also boasts lane keeping assist and lane changing assist for climbing driving fun.

The project manager of WEY P8 Ma Dengquan said the electric all-wheel-drive system “can climb uphill with slope of maximal 60°. There are three sub-models under AWD, snow, mud and sand.”
