The Children’s Trust Family Expo, is a day-long a family festival at the Miami-Dade Fair and Expo Center on Saturday, September 10, 2016. It features activities and entertainment for the entire family in an effort to provide parents with direct contact with health and social services, as well as educational opportunities. The event attracts more than 15,000 visitors a year. Activities include: face painters, clowns, stilt walkers, magicians, storytellers, arts & crafts, urban gardening workshops, bounce houses, rock climbing walls, music and dance performances. Exhibits feature after-school and enrichment programs, nutrition, injury prevention, programs for children with special needs, Pre-K registration information, KidCare outreach, chess tournaments, a book fair, indoor sports zone, martial arts demonstrations, appearances by well-known characters, mobile units offering community services and much more.
