Over the summer of 2014, 11 students in the Department of Child & Adolescent Development, accompanied by two CAD faculty, traveled to South Africa to work with local early childhood teachers and young children. Their primary goal was to facilitate sharing of best practices & strategies to enhance language and literacy programming (including support for second-language learners) and strengthen evaluation of program quality.
